GRE Computer-Based vs GRE Paper-Based Pattern

It should be noted by applicants that although the GRE exam pattern is accessible in both computer-based and paper-based formats, applicants taking the test from India are limited to using the computer-based format. The GRE paper-based module is only available in locations where computer access is restricted. Tells us how the various GRE formats vary from one another.

In an effort to make the GRE exam more accessible in light of the current COVID-19 pandemic, ETS (Educational Testing Service) has introduced the GRE at Home facility, which allows students to take the exam in the comfort of their own homes. Computer-Based GRE Pattern

Each of these sections is further divided into two sub-sections (Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning) with a total of forty questions for the computer-based GRE paper format. Analytical Writing is divided into a single segment with two one-hour exercises each. Two additional variable portions are included in the computer-based pattern exam in addition to these major sections. After the Quantitative Reasoning portion is finished, there is a ten-minute break. Nevertheless, the final GRE scores do not contain the two variable sections—the unscored and research component.

1. As people rely more and more on technology to solve problems, the ability of humans to think for themselves will surely deteriorate.

Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the statement and explain your reasoning for the position you take. In developing and supporting your position, you should consider ways in which the statement might or might not hold true and explain how these considerations shape your position.

1. The following appeared in a memo from the president of a company that manufactures parts for heavy machinery:

“Three months ago, our research and development team created a new synthetic lubricant, TechLub, which is being used by a local trucking company to maintain the engines in its fleet. The trucking company has reported that since beginning to use TechLub, the incidence of engine failure has decreased by 15%. Therefore, to maintain our competitive advantage and increase our profits, we should immediately begin manufacturing TechLub on a large scale and market it to other trucking companies and businesses that use heavy machinery.”

Write a response in which you examine the stated and/or unstated assumptions of the argument. Be sure to explain how the argument depends on these assumptions and what the implications are for the argument if the assumptions prove unwarranted.

GRE Exam Pattern: Quantitative Reasoning Section

The GRE test format for GRE Quantitative Reasoning includes two separately timed analytical writing tasks of thirty-five minutes each. The topics covered under GRE Quantitative Reasoning include:
