Amazon is the world’s leading online shopping store and e-commerce platform. It is both a service and product-based company that provides several opportunities for engineering students and engineers, one of which is the Amazon ML Summer School. It is a program conducted every year. What is the Amazon ML Summer School Program? The Amazon ML Summer School program is conducted every year by Amazon. It is a program for students who are currently in their second or third year of college, irrespective of their branch. It is designed for students who are aspiring to be data scientists or machine learning engineers. The selection is based on your programming skills and fundamentals of machine learning Eligibility criteria:Students who are currently studying in the second or third year of their bachelor’s or master’s degree from a recognized institute are eligible to enroll in the program. There is no branch-specific criterion for this program. More than 20,000 students enroll in this program every year, out of which 3,000 are selected. Test pattern:The test is divided into three sections. Section A consists of 2 programming questions to test your programming skills. Sections B and C consist of 20 questions on fundamental machine learning concepts and basic mathematics, including linear algebra, statistics, and probability. The overall test duration is 75 minutes. Is there any interview ?No, there is no interview for the initial stage of the selection process. However, after completing the program, there will be an interview round for those students who performed well during the training. Internships are offered to students who qualify for this interview after completing the program. Difficulty level of the program:The difficulty level ranges from easy to medium. The programming questions are of easy to medium difficulty, similar to those on GeeksforGeeks. There are 20 questions on machine learning and mathematics fundamentals. My experience:As I gave this test, there were three sections. In Section A, there were two programming questions of medium difficulty. Sections B and C comprised 20 questions based on mathematics and machine learning fundamentals. These questions were of medium difficulty. All the basics of machine learning and mathematics were covered in these two sections. Section which I started attempting first: I started attempting multiple choice question first because these questions were easy, scoring and based on fundamentals of machine learning and mathematics. This part consists of questions based on regression techniques gradient descents, decision trees etc. And from mathematics, questions from integration calculus, differential calculus, statistics and probability were asked. Overall test pattern was medium difficulty. Thank you |
