All Possible Approaches

There are different ways using which you can change the location of the main directory or change folders, in simple terms using Git Bash.

1. Using Specified Location

Copy the path of the file where it is placed & paste it after writing the command cd and put the location in inverted commas.

2. Using Folder’s name

Type ls to get a list of all folders in the directory.

Type the following command to change the folder. If there’s a space between the words of the folder, then type the name in inverted commas:

cd Folder_Name

3. Change folder & specifically move to the previous folder

You can switch to your previous folder by using the following command to change your current directory:

4. Move to folders by using ‘/’ command

Move to the specified by location by using / command, everytime the folder changes.

cd Folder1/Folder2/Desired_Folder_Name
