Changing stream is not always easy, specially for an average student. It’s risk bearing yet another challenge which can either effect your academics or can boost your decision to next level basically in a positive way.

So, the reason behind changing my stream from PCM to PCB was a sudden change in my mind . I was in 11th standard back then I know it will sound weird but one day I saw a puppy screaming out of pain nearby street. I reached to it and came to know that some car run over it’s leg and literally nobody take it to the veterinary/ animal rescue. I was completely blank and don’t know what to do next as it was screaming really badly though I take it to the animal doctor but it was declared dead there. I was shattered at that moment the only thing which came to my mind was that if I knew something or if I was a bit aware of what to do in such cases I could have save it. From then onwards I decided to take biology as my main and to serve these animals who are left like trash by humans.

At first, I thought it was a decision taken emotionally and not practically my parents were not too glad by my decision but handle things calmly and make them understand that there are a lot of opportunities, later I searched for it on many websites, watched you-tube videos and read articles and I came to know that YES! there is a scope for me in PCB. First week was quite odd for me but as soon as I read about this subject I really started liking it. I felt that I should have pick biology just after 10th only but I think destiny already set plans for you. Now, studying in veterinary college I learnt so many things about animals and there welfares, for me it came out to be the best decision in my career till date.

There is no particular field in PCB but there is a whole hierarchy in this field respectively. There are

2. Pharmacy

3. Dental Degree

4. Agriculture

5. BHMS

6. Forensic Science

7. MBBS

8. BAMS

9. Environmental science

10. Zoology

and lot more options available in PCB.

SO, my final request to you all is that choose your career wisely and not by what others decides for. Search for your field and then make any decision. At the end your hard work and your honesty to yourself will leads you to the success.
