When I first set foot on the campus of ABES Institute of Technology as a fresh-faced Computer Science student, I didn’t know what to expect. The campus may not be huge, but it’s well-kept and has a friendly vibe. Those initial days were a mix of excitement and jitters as I went through orientation and got to know my fellow classmates. The faculty members are approachable, and while some lectures can get a bit theoretical, the professors are always open to questions and discussions. The labs are pretty well-equipped, even though they can sometimes get a little crowded. Joining the coding club was a game-changer for me; it became my go-to spot for learning and making connections. The seniors are super supportive and often organize coding marathons and hackathons that are both educational and a ton of fun. That being said, the coding culture here is mostly driven by us students. We rely heavily on platforms like HackerRank and GitHub for practicing and collaborating. Workshops and guest lectures aren’t super regular, but when they do happen, they’re pretty insightful. Life on campus is lively, with cultural festivals and tech events happening all the time, giving you a well-rounded college experience. But here’s the thing: to really thrive here, you’ve got to be proactive. Self-study, online courses, and forming study groups are all key. ABES IT lays down a solid foundation, but it’s up to us to seize the opportunities that come our way. Tips for Future Students:
