I recently had the opportunity to interview for the Associate Software Engineer (ASE) fresher role at Mitsogo Inc. The interview process was structured into four distinct rounds:

Round 1: Online Aptitude Test

This initial round consisted of an online assessment focusing on Quantitative Aptitude and Logical Reasoning. The test included 60 multiple-choice questions to be completed within 60 minutes. The cutoff for this round was set at 33%.

Round 2: Online Coding Test

Out of the candidates who appeared for the aptitude test, 90 students were selected for the online coding test. This round required solving three coding questions within 90 minutes, with difficulty levels ranging from medium to advanced. It was an eliminatory round.

Round 3: Technical Interview 1

• Following the coding test, only 27 students were selected for the first technical interview. This round involved:
• Printing a given number pattern (Complex Pattern).
• Live coding session where candidates had to present their screen and write code in front of the interviewers.
• A discussion of the projects mentioned in the candidates’ resumes.
• Solving a puzzle.
• This interview lasted for approximately 30 to 40 minutes.

Round 4: Technical Interview 2

• From the previous round, 12 students advanced to this stage.
• Mitsogo Inc. places significant emphasis on problem-solving skills over theoretical knowledge. This round started with a self-introduction, followed by:
• Questions on projects undertaken by the candidate.
• Two additional coding questions.
• Questions on Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
• Basic problem-solving questions (covering topics like Arrays, Pointers, Linkedlist, String, etc.).
• Despite reaching this advanced stage, no candidates were selected for the subsequent HR round.
