The interview process for this company was a challenging but exhilarating journey that tested my coding skills and communication abilities. Here’s how I navigated each round, feeling the thrill of competition and the satisfaction of progress. Round 1: The Aptitude GauntletThe first hurdle was a 60-minute aptitude test with 60 questions. It was a diverse mix, testing my numerical reasoning, verbal comprehension, and problem-solving skills. Programming and SQL questions added another layer of complexity, keeping me on my toes. But I persevered, strategically tackling each question to secure my spot in the next round. Round 2: Communication Under the MicroscopeThe communication test offered a refreshing change of pace. It was my chance to showcase my ability to understand and articulate complex ideas. They presented me with passages, and I had to craft clear and concise responses that demonstrated my reading comprehension and writing skills. My comfort with written communication made me feel confident in this round. Round 3: Technical Interview – Unveiling My SkillsNow came the round that had me both nervous and excited – the technical interview. We delved into the world of programming languages, with a specific focus on Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts. They presented me with a coding challenge on a simple notepad, testing my ability to write clean and efficient code without the aid of fancy tools. I thrived in this environment, demonstrating my problem-solving skills and proficiency in OOP principles. The discussion then shifted to my past projects, where I had the opportunity to showcase my practical experience and technical knowledge in detail. It felt fantastic to discuss the challenges I overcame and the technologies I utilized during those projects. Round 4: HR Interview – Unveiling My ValuesThe HR interview was a chance to connect on a more personal level. We discussed my career aspirations, my fit within the company culture, and my understanding of the role. It was an opportunity to showcase my soft skills, enthusiasm, and genuine interest in the company. Adding a touch of novelty to the process, both interviews were conducted on a platform called Superset. Narrowing the Field and the Proctored ChallengeI learned that a sizable group of 85 candidates from my college were initially shortlisted. Knowing the competition was fierce, I remained focused on delivering my best performance. Shortly after, a select few, myself included, were invited to take another proctored coding test. This one felt more intense, with the added pressure of being monitored. But I drew on my strengths, tackled the problems head-on, and emerged feeling confident in my performance. The Offer and the Package DecisionThe wait for the results felt like an eternity, but the news finally arrived! While a significant portion of the shortlisted candidates, around 85, received offers with a package of 4 LPA, a select few, myself included, were offered a more lucrative package of 6 LPA. It was a moment of immense gratification, a reward for all the hard work I’d put in. Selection CriteriaFor this company, meeting the following criteria was key:
