From 10th Grader to Computer Science Engineer

Hello Everyone! I am very excited to share my career journey from 10th grader to become a Computer Science Engineer. I don’t expect I will do the engineering.

When I was in 10th standard, I did very hard work to get a good percentage. I was in school, and from that time I have liked to read the newspaper, different articles about urban areas and discuss real-world issues in our environment. It was very clear I will go to the science field. I am the daughter of a farmer, so I have all basic information about agriculture. So, when I was in 10th standard, I decided to take an agriculture degree. But someone said, “As you think, the same does not happen in reality.” That’s very true in my life.

I got a good percentage in 10th standard. I think I got 93% in the SSC Exam. I got the admission in Yashwantrao Chavan Institute of Science, Satara. I took the science field. It’s fixed from when I was in 9th class. In 11th standard, I took both groups – Maths and Biology. I was the maths topper in school. But I’m not interested in doing Engineering. In my 12th standard, the COVID-19 Pandemic occurred. At that time, there was a lockdown. All my 12th standard was in online mode up to December 2020. When I was in 12th standard, I decided to keep one single group. My parents told me at that moment to keep the Maths group. Thank you, I will think on my parents’ thoughts. After one week, I reached my final decision to keep the Maths group. My parents did not agree to go for a BSc in Agriculture.

That moment was the turning point of my career journey. At that time, I realized I also had to do engineering. I got an 84 percentile in the MHT-CET Examination. I got admission at Tatyasaheb Kore Institute of Engineering and Technology, Warananagar, Kolhapur for Computer Science Engineering. Now I’m the final year student of my college. So this is all about how I will become the Computer Science Engineer.

Some suggestions:

  • Find your interest and then choose your career path.
  • Don’t manipulate from anyone. Hear your mind what it says.
  • The most important, “Enjoy your journey.
