I was an Icse student and I had taken my state’s joint entrance examination too, and scored 1302 out of 86 thousand students. With this, I couldn’t get my dream college or subject so I left engineering.

I choose BCA as my subject, a three-year course. I thought of taking admission in Techno India. I went there, but I was a bit late so all seats were filled in Techno main campus.

They offered me a college that was under the techno group, that is Saroj Mohan Institute of Technology (SMIT).

SMIT is situated in Hoogly, in the first case only I Sade no as my house is in Howrah and I was not ready to stay in the hostel. So they told me that SMIT classes were not held in Hoogly but on a campus near Webel.

They checked my class 12 result as I had 75% marks so getting admission was not an issue for me, then they booked my seat taking 10k in advance for seat booking.

No admission test was taken.

Then a few days later they again called me for a further payment which was 20k, that is our semester fee is 30k in total. That day my library card was made and books were also given for the 1st semester.

As I was a science student I easily got a BCA, but as per my knowledge, there were no such criteria for any compulsory subject to get this stream.
