What is difference between plain text and rich text?

The main difference is Plain text only contains the characters and symbols of text without formatting while Rich text can store additional formatting information.

Plain text and rich text are two types of text formats that differ in the amount of formatting information they can store.

Plain text can be only used to store the characters and symbols without any type of formatting but Rich text can also store the formatting information, such as bold, italic, underline, alignment, and indentation.
