Microsoft Azure - PAL Tagging in Azure

PAL stands for Partner Admin Link. PAL Tagging allows continuing tracking your contributions to select customers with Microsoft Partner ID.  Partners help to deploy, optimize and manage services in Azure.

If you’re a partner, you can change your Microsoft partner ID by entering a new one if exists. By linking the Microsoft Partner ID, Microsoft can share your activity with your select customer. This information includes aggregate data about your contribution to the customer.

PAL Tagging Implementation:

Follow the below steps for PAL Tagging in Azure Portal

Step 1: Log in to Azure Portal.

Step 2: From Header Menu select Settings

Step 3: After selecting the settings, from the bottom left of the page you will find useful links. From Useful links select Microsoft partner network

Step 4: Now on the Microsoft partner network page add Microsoft partner Id, also known as Microsoft Partner Network Identifier (MPN ID), and Click on Link a Partner ID to link it.

Step 5: Once the linking is done you can verify the linking in notifications. (Refer Below Image)

Note: Linking might take some time to reflect your partners information.

Step 6: Once the changes are done you can see your Microsoft Partner Name and Microsoft Partner ID on the Microsoft partner network page.

Optional Step: To Delete the Partner ID, Open the Microsoft partner network from settings and Click on Delete Icon.

That’s it!
