My admission experience was quite eventful. Initially, I didn’t clear the IIT JEE, which led me to seek admission at Lovely Professional University (LPU), a third-tier university. The path to securing my place at LPU was both challenging and rewarding.

First, I had to take their entrance examination, called LPUNEST. I prepared diligently for this exam, investing countless hours into my studies to ensure I met the necessary requirements. The hard work and perseverance paid off when I was thrilled to learn that I had qualified by meeting the first cutoff. This achievement was a significant milestone in my journey, providing a sense of accomplishment and relief.

Furthermore, my efforts were rewarded with the highest scholarship available, which offered a 38% discount on the fees for all semesters. This scholarship was a substantial financial relief, significantly reducing the burden on my family. As a result, my semester fees amounted to ₹1,20,000, which included hostel and mess fees. Annually, the total cost was around ₹2,00,000.

Upon my arrival at LPU, I was immediately struck by the vibrant and dynamic atmosphere that infused every corner of the campus. Spread across sprawling grounds, the university buzzed with activity, hosting over 10,000 students from across the country.

The initial days were meticulously planned with a plethora of activities aimed at welcoming us, the freshers, and facilitating our integration into campus life. These activities were carefully curated to cater to a wide range of interests and to foster a strong sense of community among students.

The orientation program at LPU was comprehensive and engaging. It included brain games and problem-solving challenges that tested our critical thinking skills. Over 500 new students participated in these games, designed to promote innovative thinking right from the start.

Physical activities were also a prominent feature of the orientation, with organized sports events and team-building exercises. Nearly 300 students took part in these activities, which encouraged physical fitness

In addition, the orientation featured innovative coding sessions led by experienced mentors. These sessions attracted over 200 students eager to explore programming languages and gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies.

These planned welcome activities played a crucial role in helping me settle into campus life smoothly. They not only made my initial days at LPU enjoyable and memorable but also provided valuable opportunities to meet and connect with over 10,000 fellow students from diverse backgrounds, forging lasting friendships and a strong sense of belonging within the vibrant LPU community.

Reflecting on my journey to LPU, from not clearing the IIT JEE to receiving a scholarship and participating in these engaging activities, I can confidently say that it has been both challenging and rewarding. Each step of the way has taught me valuable lessons about perseverance, resilience, and the importance of seizing opportunities. My experiences at LPU have been enriching and have laid a strong foundation for my future academic and personal growth.

Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible for admission at LPU, you need to pass 12th grade with at least 70% marks or qualify through the LPUNEST or JEE marks. The admission process is straightforward with no counseling or seat allotment; once you submit your fees, you automatically secure a seat.
