It was the 5th semester of my college life and I was pursuing my Bachelor’s in SRM Valliammai Engineering College. It was the 7th period of my one college routine day. Our Class adviser called all of our batchmates to the seminar hall which they explained about the recruitment process for their company. The team members of Kar Technologies were the job providers. Kar Technologies is an IT Service Based Company.

The eligibility criteria of Kar Technologies was

1) 70% in SSC, 70% in HSC, and 70% CGPA in the Bachelor’s degree.

2) Students should have no history of arrears and no standing arrears.

This was the general eligibility criteria for applying for the company. After one week, the recruitment team came to our college. There were only two rounds of the selection process. One is the general aptitude round and the second is the Group Discussion round I also carried some copies of the previous semester’s mark sheet, the 12th (HSC) mark sheet, and the 10th (SSC) mark sheet. The first round contains Aptitude level questions which includes basic maths, quantitative analyses, basic english and reasoning level questions. This round took almost 2 hours to complete. After I had completed the first round, it was 11:30 am. Then, they provided a timespan for having lunch. At 1:00 pm, we assembled in the seminar hall, and the name list of all the students belonging to the department and section were shared with their respective class advisors. I have secured 89 marks out of 100 and qualified for the Group Discussion round.

The Group Discussion round consists of 5 members who are given a random topic to speak. I was given batch 17 and the duration of each group is about 5-10 minutes. It took 4:30 pm for our group discussion round and I well presented my points and opinions about the topic and completed the Group Discussion Round. Then, after two weeks, our class advisors shared the selected students from our section which includes my neme as well. It is informed that the selected students will be given internship training for 1 year during the 3rd year of the college and they assured of providing participation certificate, internship certificate and students who perform well will get outstanding performance certificate. The students who performed well in the trainings will get a job offer application for pursuing in Kar Technologies.

Now, I am currently completed my 6th semester classes and spending my semester holidays. But till now, I didn’t receive any updates after selection for Kar Technologies Internship. I probably think, I would receive updates during my 7th semester all about exploration, networking regarding upskilling our knowledge and skills.

We would get enormous amount of time. So, we can indulge in many Internships. Hence, I am currently awaiting for the updates from Kar Technologies. This experience in the mid semester of my college life gave me a real time social experience and I have learned some life lessons for developing myself for providing my best outcome.
