International Mathematics Olympiad in Class 8 Experience

Hello Everyone, I am currently pursuing my B.Tech from Rustam ji Institute of Technology in Computer Science of Engineering. This college is situated in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. When I was in class 8, I had an unforgettable experience with the International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) through my coaching center, Creative Classes, in Patna. This was a momentous event for me, and I am excited to share my journey with you.

The Examination

The IMO examination was conducted at my coaching center among 60 students. The test was a rigorous one-hour examination consisting of 35 questions, each designed to challenge our mathematical abilities and problem-solving skills. The highest possible score was 35, reflecting perfect accuracy and speed in solving these problems.

About My Coaching Center

Creative Classes, located in my local area of Patna, has a reputation for excellence in mathematics coaching. The center is staffed by two outstanding mathematics teachers, Rupesh Sir and Prabhat Sir, both of whom are dedicated to nurturing the mathematical talents of their students. Their expertise and teaching methods have always inspired and motivated us to excel.

My Achievement

I am thrilled to announce that I secured the highest marks in the IMO examination at my coaching center, scoring a perfect 35 out of 35. This achievement was a significant milestone for me, as it qualified me for the next round of the Olympiad, which was to be held at an out-center examination.

The Award Ceremony

Being the only student from my coaching center to advance to the second round was an immense honor. In recognition of my accomplishment, I received a medal from my most renowned mathematics faculty, Prabhat Sir. The award ceremony was a moment of pride and joy, as Prabhat Sir congratulated me and extended his best wishes for my second-level examination.

The Second Round

The second round of the IMO was even more challenging and competitive. Despite my best efforts and preparation, I did not qualify for the subsequent rounds. It was a sad moment for me, but it also provided a valuable learning experience. The disappointment of not advancing further was overshadowed by the joy of having participated and the memories created during this journey.

Conclusion

Participating in the International Mathematics Olympiad was a remarkable experience that I will always cherish. It taught me the importance of perseverance, hard work, and resilience. Even though I did not make it past the second round, the support and encouragement from my teachers and peers, and the honor of representing my coaching center, are memories that will stay with me forever.

This experience has strengthened my love for mathematics and has motivated me to continue pursuing excellence in the subject. I am grateful for the opportunities provided by Creative Classes and the invaluable guidance of Rupesh Sir and Prabhat Sir. This journey, with its highs and lows, has been an unforgettable chapter in my academic life.
