Hello, everyone. I am a doctoral student at IIT Roorkee.

INTRODUCTION:

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, one of the oldest engineering institutions in India, offers a distinctive and enriching campus experience.

Academics

Comprehensive Programs: Offers a wide range of doctoral programs across engineering, sciences, management, and humanities. The institute has a distinguished faculty with significant contributions to research and teaching. Known for its robust research environment, with numerous projects funded by national and international agencies. The Phd at IIT Roorkee is the best according to me and I also got a salary of 4.2 lakhs as a research scholar offline. Even after Phd I had an opportunity to work as the faculty at IIT Roorkee but choose in work in corporate field in my subject of intrest.

Campus Life

Modern Facilities: Equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories, research centers, and academic buildings. The Mahatma Gandhi Central Library is one of the largest in Asia, providing extensive resources for study and research.

Hostels: Comfortable accommodation with amenities like Wi-Fi, common rooms, and sports facilities. The hostels are named after significant rivers of India, adding a unique touch.

Student Life

Cultural Activities: For example, some of the cultural and technical festivals that are organized by this institute include Thomso (the yearly cultural festival) and Cognizance (the annual technical festival). These events attract participants from all across the country and provide a platform to express one’s talents.

Clubs and Societies: Among the student clubs and societies are those for music, dance, drama, photography, coding as well as entrepreneurship.

Sports and Fitness: Besides cricket grounds, there are excellent sports facilities like football grounds as well as athletics. There is also basketball courts while tennis and volleyball ones can also be found in it. Furthermore, a modern gymnasium and swimming pool can be found on campus.
