Company Overview: Catalog is a blockchain-related product company. While I don’t have extensive information about the company, it focuses on innovative solutions in the blockchain space.

College Context: I am currently studying in Hyderabad, and our college coordinated with Catalog for the hiring process. A total of 400 students from our group of institutions were shortlisted for the exam.

Hiring Process

The hiring process took place in one day and included the following rounds:

1. Pre-Placement Talk
2. Hackathon
3. Technical Round

After several postponements, the hiring process finally commenced. The schedule was as follows:

• 10:30 AM: The pre-placement talk began, providing insights about the company.
• 11:30 AM: A problem statement was shared, which was to be solved individually in an open-internet format.

Hackathon Details

Participants were given Task 1, which needed to be solved within one hour. Those who successfully completed Task 1 were then given Task 2. Out of the 400 students, only 30 managed to complete Task 1, and these 30 were immediately assigned Task 2. The purpose of these tasks was to filter candidates for the next round.

Unfortunately, I was unable to produce an output for Task 2. Ultimately, only 7 students completed Task 2, and these 7 qualified for the Technical Round. From this group, only 5 students were selected, with a CTC of 25 LPA.

Recommendations

1. For the Technical Round, it is beneficial to have some blockchain projects in your portfolio and to have participated in hackathons.
2. During the hackathon, ensure to focus clearly on the problem statement provided.
